The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, instructed the Ministry of Planning to discuss with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and relevant ministries to transform the National School of Planning and Statistics into a public administrative institution to strengthen and expand the scope of roles and responsibilities to grow and be more effective in training and retraining courses for civil servants and subordinates as managers and leaders.
The instruction was made at the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Planning, on April 9, 2024.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said that in order to support the quality of education and training, the National School of Planning and Statistics must improve its capacity, both in terms of teachers and institutional capacity, as a basis for education and training.
The Cambodian Premier added that the National School of Planning and Statistics is an important human resource training center in the field of planning, statistics and demographics in line with the Royal Government's policy on human capital development.
