In the first three months of 2024, Cambodia's exports were worth more than $ 6.26 billion, up by 18%

In the first three months of 2024, Cambodia exported more than US$6.2 billion worth of major goods.

According to a report of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, the amount was up by 18 per cent compared to the same period of 2023.   

The report further said that from January to March, 2024, Cambodia's exports reached more than US$ 6.26 billion, up by18%, while imports amounted to US$ 6.23 billion, up by 6.4%, respectively. Cambodia's trade volume and international market reached more than US$12.49 billion, up by 11.9%.

Cambodia's top exports were garments and clothing accessories worth more than US$ 2 billion, fruits and nuts worth more than US$ 407 million, machinery and electrical appliances worth more than US$ 448 million, footwear worth more than US$ 483 million and rubber and rubber products worth more than 300 million US dollars.

Cambodia’s exports went to the United States, Vietnam, China, Japan, Thailand, Canada, Britain, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Hong Kong and other major trading partners.

H.E Pen Sovicheat, Secretary of State and spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, told local news on April 10 that Cambodia's exports outpaced imports as Cambodia produced the necessary commodities to meet consumer demand.
