The second Cambodia and the European Union public-private Dialogue kicked off on Monday April 7.
The Cambodian side was led by H.E Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and the European Union by Mr Gabriele Faja, President of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia.
The Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol briefed the meeting on the remarkable growth of investment projects, with 414 project approved in 2024.
The figure is a testament to the effectiveness of the Cambodian Investment Law and the Royal Government’s policies in supporting investment by the private sector, stressed the Deputy Prime Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister further said that the Royal Government of Cambodia has always considered the private sector as an important engine for boosting national economic growth.
He also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Tassilo Brinzer, former President of Euro Chamber of Commerce for his good cooperation on facilitating coordination between relevant sectors and the private sector.
The second Cambodia-European Union Public-Private Dialogue was also joined by His Excellency Stefan Messerer, Ambassador of Germany to Cambodia, representatives of relevant ministries and institutions, officials from the European-ASEAN Business Cooperation Council, the private sector, and many relevant stakeholders.
