Japanese Prime Minister sends a congratulatory letter to Samdech Techo Hun Sen on his election as the President of the Senate of Cambodia for the 5th term

H.E KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen on his election as the President of the Senate of Cambodia for the 5th term in the first session, on April 3, 2024, under the auspicious of His Majesty Samdech Preah Baromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Over the year, Cambodia and Japan have cultivated a steadfast friendship, marked by unwavering collaboration in pursuit of peace, reconstruction, and development in Cambodia," according to the letter on April,4th.

I am delighted that the bilateral cooperation under the comprehensive strategic partnership that Samdech Techo and I have agreed to grow steadily, including not only in the economic field, but also in new areas, such as digital security and information technology.

The bond between our nations thrives on exchanges not only between governments but also among legislatures, private sectors, and citizens.

I am confident that under Samdech Techo's leadership, the exchanges between the two countries' legislatures will be further developed.

All of the 62 Senators unanimously voted for Samdech Techo Hun Sen to be President of the Senate in the first session of the Senate on Wednesday April 3, 2024.
