National Assembly President and Senior Chinese Officials: Good Cambodia-China Relations not only bring benefits to both countries, but bring prosperity to nations in the region and the world

The President of the National Assembly of Cambodia and the Vice Chairman of the 13th National Commission of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference recalled the history of good relations between Cambodia and China, which were founded by His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk, the late King of Cambodia and Chinese leaders, Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai.

Samdech Thika Thipadei Khuon Sodary and Mr. Zhang Qingli, who is also the Chairman of the Economic and Social Council of the People's Republic of China, held a meeting in Phnom Penh on Tuesday April 23, during which the two sides shared the same view that the good relations between the two countries have been continuously maintained and enhanced by the two countries' leaders. The National Assembly President of Cambodia highly appreciated the visit of the delegation, which has contributed significantly to the strengthening of bilateral ties of    friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The President of the National Assembly said that the visit coincided with the celebration of the "Year of People-to-People and Cambodian-Chinese Exchange" and contributed to the strengthening of iron-clad friendship and the further expansion of cooperation between the two parliaments on all aspects in line with the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership cooperation. The National Assembly President expressed her satisfaction with the progress of trade volume between Cambodia and China and wished that the Chinese side encouraged more Chinese investors and tourists to come to Cambodia. She also invited Chinese senior officials to attend the 12th ICAPP General Assembly and the 11th International Parliamentary Assembly for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP), which Cambodia will host in November 2024. Mr. Zhang Qingli praised Cambodia's current progress in terms of living standards among people and in society, and stressed that China would continue to support Cambodia's development in all areas in line with the commitment of the two countries' leaders to building a common destiny community with high quality, high standards in the framework of diamond cooperation.
