H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, met with Mr. KIM DAEHWAN, Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Korean Labor and Employment Service of the Government of the Republic of Korea at the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training on Wednesday June 26, 2024.

The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and Employment and Services of Korea in the implementation of the Labor Policy Advisory Project 2023-2025 and other related projects in the future. The Minister thanked the Korean government for its cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training through the agreement on the implementation of the Labor Policy Advisory Project signed in 2023 to promote the training and capacity building for officials and professional staff of the Ministry in order to increase the efficiency in serving the people. 

The Minister said that Social Security and Vocational Training has been playing a very important role​​ for the Royal Government of the seventh mandate to achieve the vision of becoming a high middle income country in 2030 and a high income country in 2050. 

For his part, Mr. KIM DAEHWAN, Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Korean Labor and Employment Service of the Government of the Republic of Korea, thanked the Minister for supporting the cooperation project that the two sides recently signed to provide services to the people in accordance with the vision of the Ministry and the Royal Government.

The Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Korean Labor and Employment Service of the Republic of Korea affirmed continued support and cooperation between the two sides in line with the level of relations established by the two governments.
