At the closing of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, on April 2, 2024, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, said that for education to achieve better results, work had to be done to strengthen the sector from the grassroots level.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet further said the education did not mean that it was done only in one day or 12 years or 16 years, but it has to be done for a lifetime, and even the Prime Minister himself has to learn every day.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stressed that the most important factor to ensure human resources was to strengthen the foundation, which has started at the kindergarten, primary until grade 12.
He continued to say that Cambodia needed modernization and modern human resources to compete with other countries.
He added that the school was a public service unit that was close to the people, and the school must play a responsible role in teaching and learning.
The Prime Minister it has been necessary to strengthen proactive governance and mobilize the participation of all stakeholders, especially the community and parents in the development of schools in all aspects in accordance with the school standards.
