The Royal Government delegate in charge of being the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia said that the Securities Investors Association of Cambodia would be another important player in the market infrastructure to contribute to the development of the securities market and sector in Cambodia in the future.
Speaking at the launching ceremony of Securities Investors Association of Cambodia” on March 3, 2024 in Phnom Penh, H.E Sou Socheat, Royal Government Delegate in charge of the position as the Director General of the Securities Regulator of Cambodia mentioned that through the Association of Securities Investors of Cambodia, it would raising awareness and confidence in the market, especially in this age of financial technology, where frauds and scams have occurred, which also affects the reliability of the securities sector while the Assocaition always paid close attention to cooperating with the relevant authorities to prevent this problem.
He believed that the Association would be a partner in raising awareness of crimes or fraud in the market among the members of the association as well as the public to build a market with integrity, inclusive, innovation, sustainability, order and good governance.
The Director General of the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia instructed all members of the Association to continue learning as well as sharing knowledge related to the methods of trading each product in the securities sector, to strengthen the capacity and share knowledge and experience related to the management of various risks that may arise from trading and to well understand the laws and regulations so that the trade could be conducted in accordance with the laws and regulations.
The Securities Investors Association of Cambodia was established on 19 February 2024 with members as investors in the securities sector in the Kingdom of Cambodia and H.E Sou Socheat, Royal Government Delegate in charge of position as the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia has been the Honorary President.
