Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports made the point at the 31st ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Council Meeting in Luang Prabang, Lao People's Democratic Republic on March 24, 2024.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the strengthening of cooperation in the field of 21st century skills and digital skills in education in the Artificial Intelligent era has shown its commitment to promoting the comprehensive implementation of the ASEAN Women's Peace and Security Agenda.
At the same time, Cambodia expressed its support for the ASEAN Public Health Emergency Coordinating Framework Agreement, which focused on climate resilience, the development of physical infrastructure, rural sanitation, sustainable sanitation and health promotion, which highlighted the global challenges caused by climate change and the importance of shifting the ASEAN perspective towards carbon neutrality by 2050, added the Minister.
The Minster continued to say that Cambodia also supported the Vang Vieng Declaration on the Promotion of Small and Medium Cultural Enterprises in line with green growth for sustainable development, by supporting previous initiatives to strengthen ASEAN resilience and benefit for the Enterprises which were affected by the Covid-19 and by ensuring resilience the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage in the ASEAN Community.
