The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology concludes its Annual meeting

The Cambodian Prime Minister, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, presided over the closing ceremony of the annual sum-up meeting of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, on Wednesday April 10.

The water resources sector is contributing to improving people's lives, reducing poverty and boosting national economic growth. The Royal Government, under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of Cambodia, has considered the water resources sector as one of the four priority areas. The other three are people, electricity and roads.

The Royal Government of Cambodia clearly understands the importance of enhancing the management, conservation and development of water resources in a highly efficient and sustainable manner. 

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has consistently performed its role and responsibilities in implementing water resources management policies through the rehabilitation and construction of small, medium and large irrigation systems to transform Cambodia into a water security country in both quantity and quality in contribution to improving people's livelihoods, reducing poverty and developing the national economy.

At the opening ceremony of the annual meeting, H.E Thor Chetha, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, thanked the senior officials and civil servants of the ministry for their strong will to perform their duties responsibly and made many achievements in 2023.
