H.E Robert DUSSEY, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Togolese Abroad of the Republic of Togo., expressed his appreciation for Cambodia’s rapid progress in all sectors.
The Togolese Foreign Minister made the appreciation during a courtesy call on Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Peace Palace.
The Togolese Foreign Minister expressed his congratulations on Cambodia’s rapid progress in all sectors and congratulated Cambodia on hosting the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026. He also affirmed Cambodia’s support in organizing the summit successfully.
He also briefed Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister on the achievements of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Togo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia, and the fruitful results of the meeting between him and relevant ministries and institutions of Cambodia to study and explore opportunities to expand cooperation, as well as to strengthen ties between the chambers of commerce of the two countries.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister welcomed the Minister and the delegation and thanked the Government of Togo for supporting Cambodia in hosting the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026.
The Cambodian Prime Minister highlighted that diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Togo have been active over the past 15 years and highly appreciated the good results achieved by the cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. He stressed that Cambodia and Togo have many potential areas to expand cooperation within the framework between the Government and the Government, the privatesector and the private sector and people-to-people connections. The two sides also discussed, explored and shared experiences in developing the country in a number of important sectors, including: economy, trade, investment, agriculture, clean energy and education.
