The Royal Government of Cambodia has provided US$100,000 in emergency assistance to Myanmar.

His Excelelncy Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, announced the relief aid on March 30, 2025 at the Special Emergency Meeting of ASEAN Foreign Ministers following the earthquakes in Myanmar and Thailand.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed Cambodia’s sincere condolences to the Governments and peoples of Myanmar and Thailand for the tragic loss of life and extensive destruction caused by the recent earthquakes.

H.E. Deputy Prime Minister expressed his deepest sympathies to all affected families and reaffirmed Cambodia’s strong solidarity with the ASEAN family.

His Excellency Prak Sokhonn welcomed the activation of the ASEAN Disaster Response Mechanism and international support, and called for a ceasefire in Myanmar to focus on peace and ensure that urgent humanitarian assistance reaches those in need.

Cambodia remains committed to supporting the ASEAN collective response under the leadership of Malaysia during this difficult time, stressed the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia.
