Cambodian Prime Minister Asks Laos to Find Ways to Ensure Sustainability of Electricity Supply to Cambodia

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet said that the energy sector has been important for Cambodia, especially to ensure energy security and Cambodia's competitiveness in the region and the world.

During a meeting in Phnom Penh on Tuesday April 23 with H.E THONGLOUN SISOULITH, President of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet wished that Laos considered    appropriate solutions to ensure a sustainable and timely supply of electricity to Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Hun Manet also raised the issue of the border between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Lao People’s Democratic Republic. 

For his part, the President of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, said that Laos was ready to take measures in accordance with the Cambodia-Laos border demarcation treaty 2023.
