Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Wednesday March 12, issued 3 decisions to promote Buddhism.

The first decision is the re-establishment of the Tripitaka congregation to verify the Buddhist canon and other work related to Buddhism.

The second decision is to organize a Khmer Tripitaka recitation ceremony every 5 years at Angkor Wat in the province of Siem Reap or Phnom Pra Reach Triop on the outskirts of Phnom Penh.

A festival to commemorate the translation of the Tripitaka and commemorate the merits of the Tripitaka congregation will also be organized.

The decisions of the Cambodian Prime Minister clearly demonstrate the promotion of Buddhist worship and wins great appreciation from the heads of both Buddhist sects in Cambodia, and Cambodian Buddhists across the country.
