The Acting Head of State and President of the Senate of Cambodia wished to see the investment and trade relations be improved between Cambodia and India.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate, expressed the wish when he received the courtesy call of H.E Bawitlung Vanlalvawna, Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, on Thursday March 13.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen asked the new Indian ambassador to focus on promoting trade and investment exchanges between the two countries and wished to see the relationship between the two countries move to the next level, both in the executive and legislative branches.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also called for more exchanges of visits and contacts between the leaders of the two countries.
The Indian Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the good relations between Cambodia and India, especially the executive and legislative cooperation.
The Ambassador was committed to strengthening the relations between the two countries, especially between the legislative institutions.
The Ambassador said that in 2027, India has been ready to organize a ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Cambodia.
The Indian Ambassador said that Cambodia and India have several sectors that need to be strengthened together, such as economy, trade, investment.
