His Excellency Hem Vandy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, met with a delegation of CP ALL Cambodia to discuss the sale of more Cambodian products in 7-Eleven markets.

The meeting on March 12, 2025 aimed to increase collaboration in strengthening the capacity and product quality of local SMEs to meet market standards.

CP ALL Cambodia, which has been operating 7-Eleven markets in Cambodia, has expressed its commitment to selling Cambodian products, which currently account for about 10% of products sold in 7-Eleven markets and plans to increase this share further.

H.E. Hem Vandy encouraged companies to build broader business networks with potential local manufacturers through partners such as Cambodian entrepreneurs to provide training and guidance on best practices in innovation and the use of technology, with a focus on collaboration and coordination to meet food production standards.

The Minister urged companies to continue promoting product registration with the Cambodian Standards Institute to ensure food safety and build consumer confidence.

He also asked companies to test food chemical analysis services at the National Laboratory for Science, Technology and Innovation, and to collaborate with the National Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation on research and development (R&D) projects that can help improve food quality and safety, paving the way for local products to enter the market more widely.
