Samdech Techo Hun Sen Meets with New Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia met with newly-appointed Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E Ms Devyani Uttamkhobragade , at the Peace Palace on Monday morning.

The Ambassador of India conveyed regards of the Prime Minister and the President of India to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and wished him good health, and success in his mission of leading the Kingdom of Cambodia towards progress.

The Ambassador also expressed her congratulations to Samdech Techo and the Royal Government of Cambodia for their efforts in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in Cambodia, regarding the relationship between the two countries, she said that the relationship between Cambodia and India is very long in history and her diplomatic mission in Cambodia now is to strengthen and expand the existing cooperation.

She lauded the leadership of Samdech Techo Prime Minister through civilization, culture and religion. She will do her best to promote the relations between the two countries and to connect people and people and the business sector in addition to existing relationships.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen hailed H.E Ms Devyani Uttamkhobragade on her appointment as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia and accepted with thanks the greeting messages from His Excellency the President and the Prime Minister of India.

Samdech Techo also congratulated India on the successful production of vaccines against Covid-19.

The Prime Minister said that “all we can do now is to strengthen and deepen the cooperation between the two countries, because now the two countries have reached cooperation in the field of security and defense is an important strategic operation”.

Samdech Techo also encouraged the creation of a good environment for investors by promoting trade between the two countries, as well as cooperation between the two countries.
