Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation opens training course on economic diplomacy strategy to 30 Cambodian officials from various institutions

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia in collaboration with the Government of Singapore through the Singapore Embassy in Cambodia, opened a training course on "Economic Diplomacy: The making of economic and trade policy strategies" for 30 Cambodian officials from various institutions.

This program was held on Monday under the chairmanship of H.E. Nhim Khemara, Secretary of State and Chairman of the Economic Diplomatic Coordination Working Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, and attended by Singapore Embassy officials, trainers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore and more than 40 Cambodian officials.

The training aims to raise awareness of trade policy, multilateral trading system under the World Trade Organization (WTO), the use of liberalization under the ASEAN Economic Community to compete and integrate in the world trade system and the use of techniques of economic negotiation to contribute to the development of human resources and the Cambodian economy.

H.E. Nhim Khemara, said that human resource development is a priority area of ​​the Royal Government of Cambodia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has in particular worked on Human resources training in the field of diplomacy and foreign affairs through the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations, which plays an important role in capacity development with new knowledge and skills.
