Samdech Techo presides over the Opening of the 3rd National Sports Competition and the 1st National Sports for the Disabled at Moradok Techo National Stadium

On the evening of Monday, November 21, 2022, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, presided over the official opening of the 3rd National Sports event and the 1st National Paralympic Games held at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.

 

The official opening ceremony of the 3rd National Sports Competition and the 1st National Paralympic Games was attended by a total of more than 40,000 people. 

The event featured a variety of art performances, performed by more than 1,000 bodyguards, Khmer dances by about 500 Cambodian women, and bokator performances and many other performances with a total of about 2,000 participants.

 

The National Sports Event was first organized by the Royal Government of Cambodia in 2016 with the aim of strengthening the capacity of athletes to participate in the 32nd SEA Games in 2023, which Cambodia will host.

The 3rd National Games and the 1st National Paralympic Games were held under the slogan "Sports bring peace and development" for about 12 days, from November 19 to 30, 2022.

H.E Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, said that the 3rd National Sports Competition was held in Phnom Penh, Kampot, Sihanoukville, Kep and Siem Reap on 38 sports, 356 disciplines with a total of 4,336 sports men.
