The Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts said that Xi Jinping’s favorite Chinese quotes has been an evidence of the significant cultural exchange for the nations and peoples of Cambodia and China.

Her excellency Phoeung Sakona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, made this statement in her keynote speech at the inauguration ceremony of the program “ Xi Jinping’s favorite Chinese quotes” on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

The Minister said that Cambodia and China have had traditional relations that date back thousands of years and have had their own ancient and magnificent civilizations.

The relationship between the two countries has reached a significant level, namely the “Cambodia-China Community of Shared Future”, which was announced during the visit of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister of Cambodia, to Beijing in February 2023, stressed the Minister.

She added that Cambodia headed by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, has continued to strengthen and give high priority to Cambodia-China relations, which have reached a new level of “diamond cooperation” to promote peace, stability and prosperity.

She also stated that with the Belt and Road Initiative, Cambodia and China have been committed to continuing to expand cooperation in key areas, including the promotion of culture, especially people-to-people ties.
