Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to the King, has been invited to attend the World Knowledge Forum in the Republic of Korea.
At a meeting in Phnom Penh on Tuesday March 26 with Dr. Chang Dae-whan, President of Maekjung Group, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who is also President of the Cambodian People's Party, accepted the invitation offered by the President of the Group.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation of Maekjung Group to Cambodia and hoped that the visit would contribute to the understanding of peace, stability and development as an opportunity to explore Cambodia’s investment potential.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen informed the delegation about the history of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea, of which Samdech Techo Hun Sen was the founder in 1996.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen stressed that through this diplomatic relations, many Korean companies have come to invest in Cambodia, with the building of infrastructure, and the assistance in the development of education, and health sectors. The former Prime Minister of Cambodia thanked South Korea for accepting tens of thousands of Cambodian workers to work in Korea.
For his part, Dr. Chang Dae-whan informed Samdech Techo Hun Sen that he would do his best to encourage many more Korean companies to investment in Cambodia.
